This research investigates the institutional, personal, and financial factors that influence the research productivity and engagement of academic staff at Champasak University. Utilizing a descriptive survey design, data were collected from university lecturers across various faculties through a structured questionnaire. Statistical analyses including descriptive metrics and regression analysis revealed that institutional research funding, time allocation alongside teaching loads, access to academic databases, and methodology training were the most critical factors determining research output and participation among faculty members.
